"We started the group with great passion and enthusiasm to involve as many women as we can in looking at equality issues and encouraging women to use their voices. " said Cleo Matthews.

"I attended a meeting of the Brighton International Women's Day Group and I got all excited and passionate about it and thought: ' we need something within West Sussex because at that time we hadn't heard of anything else'."

Five women responded to the initial advert and now the group has been going since 1995. Cleo says the group is open to "all women; all ages, all races, all creeds.

We welcome new members to the organising group. We meet on the first Tuesday of each month in Littlehampton or Bognor for an organising meeting followed by social time. Please contact us for further details
